Personalized skincare is here. SkinCeuticals Custom D.O.S.E (Diagnostic Optimization Serum Experience) machine has merged technology with skincare by customizing a serum designed entirely off a patented algorithm targeting the skin needs and concerns of the user.
Designed to exfoliate, brighten and enhance the skin, SkinCeuticals formulated a specific periodic table of ingredients used at different percentages to ensure each serum is personalized to fit a multitude of skin concerns including visible signs of aging, wrinkles, fine lines, and discoloration.
How It Works:
Expert Evaluation: A skin analysis is conducted with a skincare professional using the SkinCeuticals patented diagnostic tool to assist in analyzing major skin concerns. The skincare professional asks a series of questions based off of topics including the patient’s current skincare products, diet, exercise routines, and more. Once the evaluation is complete the diagnosis is then transferred from the iPad or tablet to the D.O.S.E system.
Formula Recommendation: After the skincare professional has inputted the needed information in the device, the machine measures and combines specific ingredients from the allocated periodic table ensuring precise formula concentrations. The periodic table ingredients include:
- Exfoliating: Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Phytic Acid, Hepes, Hydrovance
- Brightening: Tranexamic Acid, Koji Acid, Niacinamide, Licorice Root Extract, Mulberry Extract, SymWhite
- Enhancing: Proxylane, Retinol
- Base: Hydroalcoholic, Emulsion
Compounding: Beginning with hydroalcoholic (an oil-free base with a fluid texture ideal for oily skin types) or emulsion (a lighter base with a milky texture ideal for dry skin types) base, and followed by enhancing, exfoliating, and brightening mixtures, the machine thoroughly blends the specific ingredients for maximum efficacy addressing major skin concerns. Spinning at 1,200 rotations per minute, the device produces a personalized serum in under three minutes. Once the compounding is complete, a label with the patient’s name, customized ingredients list, batch number and expiration date is printed and applied to the bottle finalizing the personalized product.
With daily utilization, the customized serum is intended to last three months, advising users to check back in for a follow-up analysis based on the skin’s progress. This customized device is only available in select locations, with the large metropolitan areas including Miami, NYC, and CA.
