The future of my field is?
Actually far ahead of the curve. The founding principles of chiropractic are now being broadly embraced by both physicians and patients throughout the world. The current healthcare model is one that emphasizes masking the symptoms as opposed to treating the ideology or cause of the problem. The prescription drug epidemic is a consequence of the current “traditional” healthcare model. However, this is changing rapidly. Chiropractic is focused precisely around the premise of the treating the root cause and therefore treating the corresponding symptoms, all while doing so without harmful surgeries or prescription medications. In addition, there are a handful of people who believe chiropractic manipulation can be harmful. Irrefutable, crystal-clear evidence to oppose this is simply the fact that chiropractic physicians have the lowest malpractice insurance rates of anyother physician in the country – this is solely due to the safety and effectiveness of chiropractic.
The biggest misconception about my field is?
That some people think that the expertise of chiropractors are limited to the spine. This misconception is far from the reality and is a loss to many people. Chiropractic physicians specialize in the neuromusculoskeletal system which includes ALL joints, muscles, the innervation of those soft tissues and equally important the knowledge of the collaboration needed for the entire human being to function correctly. In my office, I have successfully and often times treated the causes of headaches/migraines, neuropathy (sciatica, carpel tunnel, tarsal tunnel), frozen shoulder, Morton’s Toe, disc herniations, bulging discs, posture, etc.
As the Director of the PERFORMANCE Program, one of the world’s leading stem cell innovators, we have had tremendous success treating Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), chronic diseases such as Lyme disease, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and many others. These are exciting times and it is a pleasure to be able to offer people safe and effective options for treating disorders.
My most requested procedures are?
Spinal decompression, joint subluxation corrections, increasing range of motion for all joints including the spine, hips, pelvis, shoulders, knees, ankles and wrists.
What surgical advancements are you most excited about?
I’m most excited about the advancement and use of stem cells to replace many often times harmful procedures such as spinal fusion, epidurals and cortisone injections.
What are you best known for?
I would say the answer is two-fold:
- Identifying and properly diagnosing who have been previously misdiagnosed and mistreated for years.
- My, “Whole Body” approach: Identifying and treating the root cause(s) of the problem in order to correct it rather than place a “band-aid” on it.
What is your most memorable patient reaction?
My most memorable patient experience is not uncommon in that, after only one session, a patient will stand up with tears in his/her eyes and hug me tightly in appreciation and for giving them reason to have hope.
What sets my practice apart is?
As an internationally published medical illustration artist, I had a vision of a state-pf-the-art office with highly trained, specialized staff, cutting edge modalities such as hyperbaric chambers, laser beds and lymphatic drainage suits. This vision came to fruition with a tremendous amount of persistence and defying the odds. I pride myself on the philosophy, genuine care and aesthetic beauty of this facility.
What I love most about my profession is?
The ability to give people their lives back with the use of my mind, heart and hands.
Career defining procedure?
My career defining moment is giving mobility back to a 67-year old female patient who was run over by a vehicle and fractured 23 bones (including her skull) with traumatic brain injury that put her in a medically induced coma for two weeks at which time she was pronounced dead. Upon opening her eyes, all surgeons told me this individual will likely never be able to stand again. Her son, a world-famous plastic surgeon, specifically sought me out to address her immobility. With intense rehabilitation every other day for six months, this individual was able to take her first steps with a walker and today it is my pleasure that she can walk unassisted.
What new services are you excited to offer?
I am most excited to offer the utilization of stem cells and exosomes for joint rejuvenation, injury recovery and concussion treatments. I’m also excited to announce that I’ve recently developed a CBD pain balm. I’ve done extensive research on the healing benefits of CBD and have finally perfected the ideal blend of the highest-quality ingredients. It has been clinically tested to drastically reduce (if not eliminate completely) pain and swelling. I’m humbled by the feedback that I’ve already received on the product
