What is urinary incontinence?

Urinary incontinence in women refers to the involuntary leakage of urine. It can range from occasional leaks when coughing or sneezing (stress incontinence) to a sudden and strong urge to urinate followed by the involuntary loss of urine (urge incontinence). Other types include overflow incontinence, which occurs when the bladder doesn't completely empty, and mixed incontinence, which involves a combination of symptoms. Various factors such as childbirth, menopause, and certain medical conditions can contribute to urinary incontinence in women.

What is VTONE?

VTONE, on the Empower platform by InMode, is an FDA-cleared technology that is designed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles to improve symptoms of urinary incontinence and vaginal relaxation. It uses electrical muscle stimulation and neuromuscular reeducation. A single-use electro-stimulator is placed into the vaginal canal to trigger involuntary muscle contractions. This world-renowned treatment is stronger and deeper than any kegel exercise. VTONE is a super-charged kegel session. 1 session alone is equivalent to approximately 20,000 kegels. InReturn these contractions, tighten and tone the pelvic floor, particularly those muscle fibers that get weakened and overstretched during pregnancy and childbirth that can lead to urinary incontinence.

How many treatments are recommended?

The VTONE treatments are performed in the office and usually consist of a series of 6 to 8 treatments over several weeks. Clients can come in and complete their protocol as early as three weeks or space them out at their convenience. The treatment is a quick and painless procedure and is completed as quickly as 30 minutes without any anesthesia common surgery, or downtime. Most patients report increased urinary control, reduced bladder, leakage, and improvement and sexual sensation after they complete their VTONE series. After clients complete the treatment protocol you can complete single treatment sessions on an as-needed basis.

Who is an ideal candidate for VTONE?

VTONE is ideal for women dealing with urinary incontinence who prefer to avoid the inconvenience or risks associated with bladder mesh surgery. It's also beneficial for those seeking to enhance their pelvic floor muscles for improved sexual satisfaction, both for themselves and their partner. However, its benefits extend beyond that; any woman aiming to boost confidence, engage in activities with their child, or exercise without concern about urinary leakage can significantly benefit from this treatment.

What is the associated downtime?

There is no recovery period or downtime after undergoing VTONE treatment. The results gradually improve with each subsequent session and can last for several months to a year. Women may consider a tune-up session around the 6 to 9-month mark, but many opt for membership packages, allowing them to maintain their vaginal health without enduring daily insecurities.

What other treatments can enhance the effectiveness of VTONE?

The Morpheus 8V on the EMPOWER RF platform can drastically elevate one’s results. The targeted treatment not only addresses urinary incontinence but also painful intercourse, vaginal dryness, recurring Urinary tract infections, bacterial vaginosis, lichen sclerosis, vaginal laxity, and more. Not only does it address a wide range of medical conditions but it also addresses the aesthetic appearance of the vagina.
