How To Recreate Mary J. Blige’s Super Bowl Halftime Show-Stealing Locks

From Dr. Dre to Kendrick Lamar, this year’s Super Bowl halftime show did not disappoint old-school hip-hop fans. Mary J. Blige showed up and showed out at the Super Bowl halftime show with stunning long platinum blonde locks flowing as she effortlessly performed some of her greatest hits, “Family Affair” and “No more drama."

Blige’s reflective animal print two-piece set complete with thigh-high boots and a matching hat, revealed later in the performance, made it hard to look away from the iconic R&B singer. Following the performance, fans took to Twitter to admire all of the detail that went into her show-stopping look and, of course, ask why Blige hasn’t created her own line of boots yet.

The “Real Love” singer’s 40-ich hair extensions, which perfectly framed her 33-carat diamond Sister Love hoop earrings, were also quite the spectacle. The star’s look was brought to life by her go-to glam team, Tym Wallace and Porsche Cooper. Blige’s makeup look, done by Cooper, consisted of a dark smokey eye and ultra-glossy lips. Cooper claims the glamorous look was created using a variety of Fenty products. Wallace has since revealed the process that went into creating what he referred to as the “ghetto fabulous rockstar” inspired style.

It's safe to say that with the help of Cooper's makeup and Wallace's hairstyling, Mary J. Blige stole the show this year. The endless nods to the 90s era of hip-hop will be hard for halftime performers to top next year. Until then, here are all the products you can use to recreate Blige's look of the century:
