Dr. Mark G. Albert, M.D. is a solo practice Aesthetic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and Director of the renowned Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship. A graduate from Michigan State University College of Medicine, with an undergraduate degree from The University of Pennsylvania. He completed his residency training at the University of Massachusets and then complemented an aesthetic plastic surgery fellowship at The Manhattan Ear, Eye, and Throat Hospital.

What is the future of your field?
Continuing to push the envelope with minimally invasive surgery (i.e. scarless rhinoplasty) and minimally invasive skin-tightening procedures (i.e. FaceTite, NeckTite, Morpheus8).
The biggest misconceptions about my field is...
That surgery is scary and painful. It is usually neither.

What surgical advancements are you most excited about?
Continuing to watch the evolution of facial fat transfer either as a stand-alone procedure or an adjunct to a facelift.
What are you best known for?
As the Director of the top aesthetic surgery fellowship in the world, I have the privilege of teaching two aesthetic plastic surgery fellows per year.
What is your most memorable patient reaction?
When I removed a splint after rhinoplasty, the patient and her mother could not stop crying tears of joy because the aspects of the patient's nose that had been bothering her for so long were now gone. Another memorable moment was when I was performing awake liposuction under local anesthesia and the patient was laughing out loud because it "tickled" so much!
What sets my practice apart?
From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a smile, drinks/snacks are brought to you, and you are seen in consultation as many times as you would like with no consult fee until you are comfortable. Our priority is to make sure you are taken care of thoroughly during your entire surgical journey to ensure the safest and most optimal aesthetic outcome. I am available 24/7 for patients either to see me in person or by virtual visit. I am not satisfied until every single patient is 100% happy with their surgical or non-surgical result.
What I love most about my profession:
Watching the change in patients' demeanor, and often times confidence, that results after eliminating a physical characteristic that has been bothering them.
