As the world's current "It" makeup artist, Patrick Ta's following is, as one might assume, the stuff legends are made of. No doubt that friends and clients like Kim Kardashian West, Gigi Hadid, Chrissy Teigen, Bella Hadid, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Shay Mitchell, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Ariana Grande, Emily Ratajkowski, Blake Lively and Rosie Huntington Whiteley (many of whom discovered him on Instagram)are all going to be supporting Ta with the launch of his debut line, Patrick Ta Beauty's Major Glow Collection.
His product names are tongue-in-cheek but absolutely perfect for the selfie-loving crowd. A few standouts include the Major Glow body oil in "A Moment" (a bronze); Major Glow Lip Shine, a universally flattering gloss that shines like no other but feels like a balm, in "She's An Influencer"(pink), "Is She Younger Than Me?" (peach) and "She's Expensive" (pearl); and the Major Glow Highlighting Mist that creates a flawless, transparent, and multidimensional glow in "We Need Her" (a gold pearl). There's also a darling setting fan to round out the chic product range, which will be available on PatrickTaBeauty.com as well Sephora.com on April 5th.
We chatted with Ta, who also recently unveiled a partnership with Moët & Chandon, in support of the Champagne brand’s new limited-edition “LIVING TIES” Rosé Impérial bottles, which highlight the everlasting ties that bind us between cultures, families, and personal moments, who gave us some insider tips on how to achieve his signature, selfie-worthy glow. In a nutshell, he says,"In order to achieve my signature glow look, it’s all about the highlighting and bronzing." So let's get glowing!
PATRICK TA'S TIPS ON HOW TO GET HIS SIGNATURE GLOW
- Start with my Major Glow Highlighting Mist. It’s great because the bottle evenly disperses a fine mist, so you don’t have to worry about harsh or splotchy lines that some powders or liquids can cause if not blended correctly.
- Use my Setting Fan as a face stencil for the Major Glow Highlighting Mist, then follow up by fanning yourself to make sure everything has dried.
- The ideal areas for highlighter is your cheekbones, tip of your nose, cupid’s bow, and peak of your forehead.
- Don’t stop at the face when highlighting. Use my Major Glow Body Oil all over the body to give yourself a bronzed glowy, just got back from a beach vacation look.
- Finish the look with my Major Glow Lip Shine to give your lips that soft glossy finish.
- Lastly, add some extra shine to the body using the Major Glow Highlighting Mist to the shoulders and collarbone.
