Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Welcome Their Third Child
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their third child on Monday, Jan. 15. Kardashian confirmed the news in a statement published on her blog.
“Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl. We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister,” said Kardashian.

Kardashian and West decided on a surrogate because Kardashian suffers from a serious life-threatening condition developed during the birth of her second child Saint called placenta accreta.
“Placenta accreta is a serious pregnancy condition that occurs when blood vessels and other parts of the placenta grow too deeply into the uterine wall. Typically, the placenta detaches from the uterine wall after childbirth. With placenta accreta, part or all of the placenta remains firmly attached,” according to the Mayo Clinic.
TMZ reports the couple’s daughter weighed 7 pounds and 6 ounces. The couples two other children are ages 4, North, and son Saint, 2.
