    How does Haute Design vet designers?

    Haute Design evaluates designers based on portfolio quality, project scale and complexity, years of experience, professional credentials (NCIDQ, ASID, IIDA, NKBA), peer recognition, publication history, market reputation, and editorial fit. All members are individually reviewed by Haute Living's editorial team before acceptance.

    Haute Design is an invitation-only editorial network. Membership is not open to any designer who applies — it is extended to designers and design firms whose portfolio, reputation, and professional standing meet Haute Living's editorial standards.

    Selection Criteria

    • Demonstrated portfolio of high-quality projects
    • Experience with luxury or complex residential/commercial projects
    • Professional standing (NCIDQ, ASID, IIDA, NKBA where applicable)
    • Peer recognition and referral standing
    • Publication history in design media
    • Awards and recognition
    • Market reputation and community standing
    • No active professional disciplinary actions at time of review

    Our Verification Process

    Portfolio Review

    We review each designer's portfolio for quality, complexity, and alignment with Haute Living's luxury editorial standards before acceptance.

    Credential Review

    Where applicable, we note professional credentials including NCIDQ certification, ASID membership, IIDA membership, and NKBA designations.

    Editorial Review

    Haute Living's editorial team independently reviews each application. All designer features are written by our team — no self-submitted content is published.

    Update Policy

    Designer profiles are reviewed annually. Members who no longer meet Haute Design's criteria are removed from the network. To report a correction: members@hauteleaders.com — reviewed within 5 business days.
