An Afternoon at the Atelier
The one and only Joan Collins joined daughter-in-law Angela Tassoni Newley for an afternoon of luxury, Champagne, and Petrossian caviar at the atelier of Lloyd Klein (who has dressed many a Hollywood actress, like Faye Dunaway and AnnaLynne McCord). Angela is a New York-based jewelry designer who helms the Tassoni Collection, comprising one-of-a-kind pieces made of precious and semiprecious stones and re-purposed metals.

Kelis Cooks More than a Milkshake
Last night, Grammy-nominated artist Kelis hosted an intimate group for a private dinner party in the Belvedere Music Lounge at the W South Beach, during which she not only played her forthcoming album in its entirety, she also worked her magic in the kitchen, personally creating the menu and cooking for the guests, which included Interscope-Geffen-A&M Chairman Jimmy Iovine, DJ Benny Benassi, DJ Rashida, Chicago Bears player Adewale Ogunieye, Kansas City Chiefs player Thomas Jones, DJ/musician Calvin Harris, Burns, Jack Splash, and others.

Adhere to Social Etiquette This Summer When Social House Re-Opens
Signs at Crystals at CityCenter have been pointing to the reopening of Social House and we could not be more excited. On Wednesday, Pure Management Group, which operated the sushi joint and nightclub at Treasure Island, made it official. The land of celebs and 20-somethings reopens at the beginning of July at its new digs at Crystals. Ever since last summer when Phil Ruffin bought Treasure Island from MGM Mirage for a reported $600 million, Social House has been without a home, being replaced by Khotan, the pan-Asian fusion joint. Now, this old favorite find a resting spot between other stalwarts such as Mastro’s Ocean Club and Brasserie Puck on the second floor.

Haute Style: Tokyo Fashion Week
The 10th edition of Tokyo Fashion Week officially wraps today after a week that brought together more than 44 Japanese fashion houses. Japanese designers continue to strive to introduce their collections to the entire world and also to collaborate with top designers from Europe and the U.S. This effort appears to be working as the event has steadily grown over the years and is one of the only international fashion weeks covered by WWD. While TFW may not have the prestige of New York, Milan, London, or Paris Fashion Week, it nonetheless presents interesting design ideas from both established and emerging talent.

Haute Eating: Dinner & Live Cabaret Music Series at Café Sabarsky
You might feel as if you’ve been swept away to another era, such as the decadence of Vienna, when attending a dinner and live cabaret show at Café Sabarsky. The location at The Neue Galerie, a museum noted for its 20th-century Austrian and German art, sets the tone. Each Thursday evening during the month of April, at 7 p.m., Austrian chef Kurt Gutenbrunner prepares a modern Viennese three-course prix-fixe dinner, which is then followed by a performance at 9 p.m. by a renowned cabaret singer such as scintillating German chanteuse Ute Lemper.

On Thursday, the Windy City opened its doors to Beauty Bar, of NYC hipster fame. The ninth installment of the makeover series, Chicago scensters are sure to offer bumping beats, beautiful people, and a unique Midwest charm. The Original Beauty Bar in the East Village has been serving up cocktails and musical throwbacks since 1995 in the former "Thomas Beauty Salon" space. Seeing its quirky potential, Paul Devitt magically transformed the 40-year-old blue-haired hangout into a one if a kind beauty "saloon" and then took his rockstar concept global. Beauty Bar has locations all across the West Coast, Vegas, and Austin.

Another Smashing Success for Women of Tomorrow
On March 20, the glamorous and gorgeous Mandarin Oriental played host to the annual Women of Tomorrow gala. Invited guests were thrilled with live performances by Telemundo star and Billboard-nominated actor/singer JenCarlos Canela, as well as Miami’s own Steve Chase Band.
