The School of American Ballet's Winter Ball, sponsored by the legendary French jeweler, Van Cleef & Arpels, set New York's social scene on fire last night. Attendees like Chelsea Clinton and Amanda Brotman, gathered at the David H. Koch theatre in Lincoln Center and sipped cocktails, among amazing art like Jasper Johns which hangs on a nearby wall. The atmosphere was jovial with everyone in gear for spring with the break in the arctic New York weather. Models clad in black dance leotards and colored masks flanked the room modeling Van Cleef jewelry as women gawked at the diamond encrusted pieces. At 8 the group ascended the grand stairway to the festively decorated ball-room in a bright fuchsia and orange theme by Ron Wendt Design.
