On Thursday, Sept. 16, FUSE Network hosted the premiere party for their new show “A Different Spin with Mark Hoppus,” hosted by Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus and comedian Amy Schumer. The party was held at the exclusive MPD on Gansevoort Street in New York (a new restaurant which will open to the public on Oct. 4).

A dark cloud was slowly spreading over New York City early yesterday evening, however inside 583 Park Ave., it felt more like a perfectly sunny spring day. Set apart from the commotion of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center, the Oscar de la Renta Spring 2011 show took place inside a luxurious ballroom, complete with dome ceiling, a beautiful crystal chandelier and Roman-style columns.

Early this morning, models again graced the runway for the very last day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week during the J. Mendel Spring/Summer 2011 show. It was a delicate and dainty display of couture that didn’t necessarily match the “Bittersweet Symphony” remix playing in the background. The show may have more fittingly been set to a classical number from “Swan Lake” or, even more appropriately, music from “Call Me Ben,” the New York City Ballet show that featured costumes designed by Gilles Mendel.

Leave it to Michelle Smith, the designer behind the luxury clothing line Milly, to give a phenomenal showing for her upcoming Spring/Summer 2011 collection. The upcoming season will mark the 10th anniversary of Milly, as well as be the debut of her handbag and jewelry collections.

It was all fun and fashion yesterday evening at MILK Studios, LOFT in the Meatpacking district. The occasion? Temperley London’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection preview installation. Guests sipped special cocktails and mingled among celebs like “Gossip Girl’s” Jessica Szohr while admiring the Spring/Summer 2011 Temperley London and Alice by Temperley collections.

It was an intimate gathering today at The Edwardian Room at the Plaza Hotel, where designer Douglas Hannant debuted his Spring/Summer 2011 collection. The runway show, which was set apart from the chaos of Lincoln Center, featured 37 beautifully designed gowns. The designer’s first stand-alone boutique is at the Shops at The Plaza, and so it was fitting that Hannant chose to hold his runway show there.

It was “27 Dresses” this afternoon at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. But this had nothing to do with that Katherine Heigl film. Instead, the dresses were all part of Bibhu Mohapatra’s Spring 2011 Presentation.

This presentation was like a breath of fresh air despite the long wait to actually get inside The Box to view the collection. Once inside, however, guests forgot about the line outside and were in awe of what was in front of them. The entire presentation was one large 360 degree still life set up; guests were the artists, trying to choose their favorite angle to begin painting.

Models walked the Elie Tahari show this morning, not once, not twice, but three times. Three times the same collection paraded up and down the runway with three finale walks and three times that the audience waited in confusion for Tahari to make the traditional designer appearance at the end of the show.

The runway shows seem to be getting more and more impressive. Just when we though we couldn’t possibly be wowed again, Monique Lhuillier comes along and blows everyone else out of the water! She is one of the most prestigious wedding gown designers to date and is known the world over for her breathtakingly stunning and ultra feminine couture gowns.
