The Italian luxury brand, Brioni has recently announced that Francesco Pesci will be taking over as the company’s CEO, effective immediately.

On Oct. 27, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art hosted an opening party for two of its new photography exhibitions. The first, Exposed: Voyeurism, Surveillance, and the Camera Since 1870, which was curated by Sandra Phillips will be on display at the museum through April 17, 2011; The second is entitled, Henri Cartier-Bresson: The Modern Century, which will be on display through Jan. 30, 2011.

On Thursday, Oct. 28, Wellendorff jewelers held the grand opening event for their first North American boutique at Shreve & Co. in the heart of San Francisco. The Wellendorff boutique is its own entity within Shreve & Co.’s Post Street store, San Francisco’s oldest retailer. The boutique is complete with its very own viewing area and coffee bar.

On Saturday, Nov. 6, renowned designer Donald J. Pliner, along with his wife Lisa Pliner, hosted a special afternoon reception at their Merrick Park boutique in Coral Gables. Ten percent of the proceeds from sales from event are set to benefit the Children’s Home Society of Florida, one of Florida’s oldest non-profit organizations dedicated to protecting children from abuse, neglect or abandonment.

On Thursday, Oct. 28, the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2) hosted a joint anniversary celebration at Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco. E2 was celebrating its 10th anniversary, while the NRDC was celebrating its 40th.

On Saturday, Nov. 6, Stacy London from TLC’s “What Not to Wear” held an exclusive trend showcase at the Westfield Topanga mall in Canoga Park, Calif. This weekend’s show was the final destination for the award-winning Westfield Style Tour. In total, the cross-country fashion expedition visited 8 Westfield shopping centers on all parts of the United States, including Seattle, Florida, Chicago, New Jersey, Maryland and San Francisco.

On Friday, Oct. 29, The Gentlemen of the Garden (GOG) hosted the eighth annual Devil’s Night at the Ann Norton Sculpture Garden in West Palm Beach. More than 500 guests gathered for the area’s most popular Halloween party, an evening of drinking, dancing and costume contests. The best costume award went to Bobby Leidy as Richard Simmons.
