The fashion set may have finally recovered from jetting around the world to view the Autumn/Winter 2010 collections in New York City, London, Paris, and Milan. But with summer vacation on the horizon, getaways to the south of France, Greek islands, and Far East will only come too soon.

Is Balfour, the jewelry company perhaps best known for producing university signet rings, a Yankees fan? Looks that way. According to recent buzz, Balfour designed the World Series Champs’ stunning new diamond rings. The team, who received the rings during opening-day ceremonies on April 13, has won 27 World Series Championships.

When the devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti on January 12, world leaders, politicians, philanthropists, executives, celebrities, and, well, fashionistas stepped up to lend a hand. In an effort to raise money for relief efforts, the Council of Fashion Designers of America rallied and designed the “Fashion For Haiti” t-shirt.

Handbag and ready-to-wear designer extraordinaire Rebecca Minkoff is moving up in the world of luxury “army candy.” Pairing with Saks Fifth Avenue, the designer is launching a line of more expensive Rebecca Minkoff Collection handbags set to hit Saks stores this week.

We love hearing of brand milestones and celebrations. So when Bulgari announced the 10-year anniversary of their iconic B.zero1 ring, we couldn’t wait to hear what they had in store. Launched in 2000, B.zero1 became a symbol of timeless and innovative Bulgari design.

It was bound to happen eventually, and we say, the sooner the better. On May 7, the first fashion tome dedicated to the life and works of the late Lee Alexander McQueen will hit bookstores. Entitled “Alexander McQueen: Genius of a Generation,” the book is sure to be the first of many that chronicles, and pays tribute to, the life and untimely death of one of fashion’s greatest designers.
