Presidio Landmark reinvents Former Marine Hospital
Before the Golden Gate Bridge even finished construction, the Presidio’s U.S. Marine Hospital was erected in San Francisco. It was later renamed the Public Health Service Hospital. In 1981 it was shut down and has been lying in disarray ever since. In 2007 it was announced that the Presidio Trust would transform the run down venue into living space.
