The San Francisco Bay Area restaurant scene is hauter than ever these days. There’s so much going on, that we even have a hard time keeping up. Gordon and Ann Getty recently hosted the annual Napa Valley Festival del Sole Fall Appreciation Dinner at their Pacific Heights home to recognize the major donors and sponsors who made the 10th season of the annual arts and culture celebration its most successful yet.

Once again, our San Francisco Bay Area is showing how it has some of the most innovative people on the planet. Cobalt, the premier manufacturer of design-centric private aircrafts, celebrated the launch of its Co50 Valkyrie single engine piston private aircraft at Dogpatch Studios in San Francisco. Cobalt Founder and CEO David Loury welcomed guests, who enjoyed hor d’oeuvres, sipped champagne and toasted to the future of private air travel.

The countdown is on for Super Bowl 50, taking place Feb. 7, 2016 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. In the days leading up to the big game, there will be a slew of haute events taking place from Napa to Carmel. We’ll tell you about at least one different event each week so you can make plans to be a part of the festivities. This week’s news comes from the San Francisco Symphony, which joins the San Francisco Bay Area’s Super Bowl 50 festivities with two events celebrating the intersection of sports and music on February 3-4, 2016 in Davies Symphony Hall.

Really, there were films shown at the 5th anniversary of the Napa Valley Film Festival, which took place Nov. 11-15 in Napa, Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga. If you were in the Valley for the festivities like we were, we understand if you got sidetracked from the main purpose of this event which has grown exponentially in its five years. Heck, there was a lot going on—and the celebs loved every minute of it! Two-time Academy Award nominee John Travolta summed up his visit quite well at the world premiere of his new movie “Life On the Line” when he said the Napa Valley is “beautiful and delicious.”
