Garfield Park Conservatory will be the home of the 3rd annual Fleurotica Fashion Show on Friday, March 25 from 6 to 10 p.m. Get ready for a show that will make jaws drop with the extravagent designs made entirely out of all flowers and plants. Guests will feel just like they are on a challenge episode of “Project Runway.” The catwalk will be surrounded by abundant plant life from the conservatory and guests will enjoy appetizers and cocktails throughout the night.

On Thursday, April 7, the Signature Room at the John Hancock Building will be buzzing with goodwill! The Ovarian Cancer Symptom Awareness (OSCA) group will host its very first gala. As every luxe event in Chicago, there will be fancy hors d’oeuvres and plenty of beverages, like the signature cocktail, Goose Island Beer and wine. There will also be upbeat entertainment and a live auction for guests to enjoy and participate in.

The School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Fashion Show, “The Walk” will take place on Thursday, May 5 and is said that it will be their largest show in 77 years! The designs will all hit the runway at Chicago’s most coveted fashion arena, Millennium Park. Stylish audience members will have 3 different chances to catch the event with showtimes at 9 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m. This fashion show will showcase more than 250 garments and has Chicagoans raving every year with excitement and counting down the days. The pieces in the show will all be made by SAICn students and with the expansive amount of garments, it gives each student the chance to shine under their own personal spotlight! Factor Runway will be providing 60 professional models to walk in the students’ designs.

Get excited for April 16th Chicago! The Chicago Red Dress Party at the Palmer House is a must attend event with more than 800 guests! This evening is dedicated to the awareness for the HIV/AIDS movement and to raise money to help the organizations that provide community services. Chicago is not the only large U.S. city to support this amazing cause, there are Red Dress Parties in many other cities like Washington D.C. and Seattle that celebrate the supporting of this movement.

This Saturday, March 5 the Hephzibah Children’s Association will host the Heart of Gold Ball at the Marriott Hotel Michigan Avenue. This year will be the the association’s 25th anniversary of their Group Homes program and what better way to celebrate.
