Leonardo DiCaprio joined forces with Christie’s on May 13 for the 11th Hour Auction, which raised $38,827,000 million for the actor’s environmental and wildlife foundation. Thirty-three works by contemporary artists including Ed Ruscha, Julian Schnabel, Banksy, Elizabeth Peyton, Takashi Murakami and Raymond Pettibon sold at record-breaking prices—nine for over one million dollars.

Art and fashion collided at the Ta te Americas Foundation’s Third Annual Artists Dinner at New York’s Skylight at Moynihan Station on May 8. More than 650 artists, socialites and celebrities came out for the celebratory event, which raised more than $2 million for the Tate Americas Foundation. The evening, sponsored by Dior, also honored 30 artists whose works are now part of the Tate’s permanent collection.
