Thirty Years of Tulips on Park Avenue
Fund for Park Avenue and Scully & Scully recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of this major urban beautification project, which spans two miles from 54th to 86th streets and boasts approximately 60,000 white tulips. Mary Lasker founded the Fund in 1980 and now the group has been able to plant every bulb through generous donations believing that the community not just a particular group should embrace this process.
ZooFest Benefactor Party
The San Francisco Zoological Society hosted an elegant evening at the Arader Galleries in honor of ZooFest benefactors. ZooFest is the organization’s most noteworthy fundraiser and will take place on April 30 at The Bernard Osher Great Hall, where guests will enjoy a Wild About Parrots theme.
InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball Garden Party
On April 18, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida celebrated their 2010 InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball Garden Party; the event is in honor of the upcoming Annual Ball scheduled for November 6, 2010. Lifetime sponsors, Al and Nancy Malnik hosted the exclusive cocktail reception and invited leading philanthropists to their private oceanfront estate in Ocean Ridge.
The Drawing Center 2010 Gala
The Drawing Center with co-chairs Jane Dresner Sadaka, Pat Steir, and Isabel Stainow Wilcox hosted the 2010 Benefit Gala at the Tribeca Rooftop on April 21. The event commemorated the opening of the exhibition, Leon Golub: Live & Die Like A Lion? Nancy Spero, artist and wife of Leon Golub, was also recognized for her talents and contributions to the field of drawing.
The American Debut of Jewelry Designer Jig Pattni
Jig Pattni, the award-winning and celebrated jewelry designer made his American debut at the Ramscale Gallery on April 21. Dyanna Sidiropulo and Susan Blond, Inc. hosted the intimate evening as guests enjoyed delicious cocktails, harpist, and an exclusive glimpse into several of Pattni’s hautest creations.

On April 20, The Philanthropist Boutique held a lovely reception benefiting their Dress for Success San Francisco, a program designed to provide struggling women with professional attire, a support system, and career development assistance.
LACMA Costume Council Presents Art, Fame, and Fashion
LACMA Costume Council introduced the Kimberly Brooks exhibition on April 21 and welcomed guests to enjoy a presentation as well as dinner and drinks at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The exhibition titled, “The Stylist Project,” features portraits of renowned stylists who typically work behind the scenes and dictate a lot of the fashion trends seen in Hollywood.
The JBFCS Annual Spring Benefit
On April 21, John A Herrmann, Chairman, JBFCS Board of Trustees, David F. Everett, JBFCS Vice President; and Russell Simmons, Co-Founder of Def Jam, were recognized by The Jewish Board of Family & Children’s Services. The event took place at the renowned Guastavino’s in NYC and featured a cocktail reception and dinner.
