Christie’s Hong Kong art auction seems to have made a new record, as one bidder reportedly spent more than $146 million this year, and dropped a huge sum of money at the art auction on Monday. Wang Wei, with her husband, investor Liu Yiqian, ranks 176th among the wealthiest in China, with a net worth of $740 million.

This chicken-egg-sized diamond, as called by Bloomberg, is a 507.6 carat rough stone that was found at Petra Diamonds’ Cullinan mine in South Africa in September. The diamond was part of a haul of four large stones found at the same mine in September.

After a much anticipated revealing of the new 2010 Audi A8, Audi finally showed off it’s newest baby to Miami’s elite on Monday, November 30th in a pavillion created JUST for this event near the Eden Rock Hotel.
