Last night was the kickoff of Art Basel. I started off at Jason and Michelle Rubell’s cocktail party where I checked out the Rubell collection. The event was held in downtown Miami on two floors. Upstairs was all different installation art. At the event were Nicolas Berggruen, Kelly and Steven Mack, Erica and Michael Karsch, Jeff Greene, Jason Pomeranc, Robert Vecsler, David Aaron, Christina Floyd, Coralie Charriol and Denis Paul, Phillip Levine, Meredith and Bryan Verona, Amanda Smith, Alvin Valley, and Lisa Reuben.

After Friday night’s amazing Lefrak extravaganza, Saturday night, Anna Anisimova and Peter Schafer got married at the Plaza Hotel. It was such a beautiful wedding—the cocktail hour was lavish, the caviar was never-ending, the ballroom was re-carpeted in white with the most unreal flowers—it looked like a fantasy world! Last night, Dani Stahl hosted Lia Sophia’s La Belle Rose II collection at Pascal Ramette’s new spot Villa Pacri with owners Tory and Elena Kiam. I was first introduced to Lia Sophia at Sundance and now I not only see it at Sundance, but at Fashion Week and all over celebs and magazines. The jewelry is super hot!

Tuesday night I was decked out in a pink Peter Som dress with gold Brian Atwood Maniac shoes and Jack Vartanian jewelry. My first stop for for the evening was to the opening of Technogym in SoHo. They definitely have the sickest, most high-tech equipment and machines, like treadmills with Twitter and Facebook on them. Mayor Bloomberg was there as well as Jesus Lux (Madonna’s ex), Valery and Revi joseph, Veronica Webb, Jen Raines, Liz Cohen, Jen Brown, Di Petroff, Alex Kramer, Larrain Larain, Courtney Glasser and Ali Wise.

I went to visit my dear friend Stephanie Hirsch at her studio the other day and was blown away by her transformation from fashion designer to the artist Stephanie Dawn. Her first collection of artwork titled “Freedom of The Mind: Freedom of the Soul” delves into the deeper or double meaning of words and sayings with both humor and enlightenment.

Eva Lorenzotti hosted a dinner party Friday night at her home for Rena Sindi. Eva has impeccable taste as anyone would know from her company Vivre and is a superb hostess. She made the Eva Special drinks that are mojitos and dinner that she prepared herself.

On Saturday night, Natasha and Tom Silver hosted the 38th annual Promise Ball for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The humanitarian award was giving to WSBS-TV, which was presented by Mary Tyler Moore. The award of distinction went to the Gerber family in memory of Jordy Gerber.

Last night Dennis Basso and Michael Cominotto put together a black tie gala for Silver Hill Hospital at Cipriani 42nd Street. With the help of their friends, Michael and Dennis raised more than $1 million, which will go toward young people who can’t afford the rehab facility. After a detox program at the hospital, if a patient wants to stay on, he or she must to commit to four weeks at $1,000 a night. The cause is very important to Michael — Silver Hill saved his life. Last night in his honor, Silver Hill named a house on their property after him.

Last night I went to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. This was the first Victoria’s Secret show I was actually in town for, and I must say the amount of work they must put into it is amazing. There were performances by Akon and Katy Perry, along with many different settings and sexy themes from sultry, to country western, to the Matrix. It was such a fun, energetic show.
