7 For All Mankind, One for South Beach
We’re not keeping score, but we at Haute Living ARE proud to pass along hot word of an exciting week in Miami boutique news. 7 For All Mankind, luxury denim brand, is opening its first store in South Beach, as well as launching its collaboration with Jonathan Adler. On Friday, May 14, 7 For All Mankind will open its doors to denim heaven on Miami’s famed Lincoln Road.
“Time to Give” Back with Audemars Piguet & the Tony Awards
Nothing looks and feels better than a jaw-dropping Audemars Piguet adorning your wrist, unless it’s an Audemars Piguet with philanthropic ties. In the nick of time for the Tony Awards next month, the exclusive Swiss watchmaking brand has teamed up with the Tonys to auction-off 27 unique celebrity-autographed timepieces to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, one of the nation’s leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations.
Brooke’s 411: Haute Vegas
With Las Vegas only being a quick 45-minute private jet flight away from Los Angeles, it is a perfect destination for the LA local who wants to change up the scene for a night or weekend. I was need of just that so I dialed up my girlfriend Stacy Smith to accompany me, and we were off to Sin City, where the King of Las Vegas, my dear friend, Steve Wynn, rolled out the red carpet, literally.
Recession-Proof Celebrity Mansions in Miami
Despite the Chicken Littles crying out that the sky is falling, the glass is half-full for some in South Florida. Take, for example, recent reports that hotel occupancy rates in Miami are on the rise. Or yesterday’s news from One Sotheby’s Realty that high-end real estate is making a comeback, proven by recession-proof celebrity mansions. Need an example? Cher’s former Miami mansion, which was purchased back in 2006 by a member of our Haute 100 circle, Sean Wolfington, sold this week for $10.45 million.
Another Mother’s Day Brunch Idea
Well, if you’ve waited this long to make your Mother’s Day plans, we might peg you as a procrastinator, because even high-powered CEOs would have had their personal assistants put something together by now.
Brooke’s 411
As a photographer, naturally I get to hang out with many beautiful women. After a great week of shooting Miami’s top model, Jessica Versteeg, we were exhausted and wanted a casual night but still something that offered the best. After all, it was Jessica’s last night in town and I wanted to show her a good time.
