Haute Event: Liza Minnelli Live at The Rose Bar Sessions at Gramercy Park Hotel
It seems like just yesterday that Liza Minnelli was singing “New York, New York” to us on the big screen. And not surprisingly, more than 30 years later, the musical icon is still making New York headlines.
On Monday, Sept. 27, the singing sensation held an exclusive live performance at the Gramercy Park Hotel. Sitting poised in a black director’s chair, Minelli performed songs off of her newly released album, “Confession” to about 100 hand-selected guests which included celebs like Mary Louise Parker, Charlie Mars, Sandra Bernhard, Tony Danza and Alan Cumming.
The concert was one in an elite series of performances at Gramercy Park Hotel called The Rose Bar Sessions, known for being some of the hardest invites to score in all of New York Cty. Other musicians who have participated in these sessions include Rufus Wainwright, Dave Navarro, and Axl Rose.
