When Delano Met Paris Society, One of Miami’s Most Beloved Hotels Found Its Next Chapter
After years of anticipation, one of South Beach’s most storied addresses is officially back. Delano Miami Beach has reopened its doors, and it has done so with an ambition that matches the weight of its own legacy. At the heart of this new chapter is a partnership with Paris Society, the global hospitality group founded by Laurent de Gourcuff and now led by CEO Rizwan Kassim. And for the first time, the Paris-and-Dubai-based powerhouse is planting its flag on American soil.
The result is not just a hotel reopening. It is a full repositioning of what Delano can be.

A Partnership Built for Miami
Paris Society has built its reputation across some of the world’s most discerning markets: Paris, Dubai, Saint-Tropez, Rome. Bringing that sensibility to Miami was never going to be a casual exercise. “We arrived in Miami with deep respect for the city and its guests, knowing that reputation only takes you so far and each new market must be earned,” said Kassim. That earned confidence now lives across three distinct dining and drinking experiences, each with its own world, its own mood, and its own reason to visit.
Gigi Rigolatto: La Dolce Vita by the Atlantic
The ground floor belongs to Gigi Rigolatto, the Italian coastal concept that has already charmed guests in Saint-Tropez, Dubai, and Bodrum. Now it brings its alla grande spirit to Miami Beach, and the setting could not be more fitting.
Designed by Franco-Mexican architect Hugo Toro, the space moves through carved wood, yellow Siena marble, and travertine. Guests can experience a warm, sun-drenched aesthetic that feels like a Mediterranean holiday without ever leaving South Beach. Poolside tables, beach cabanas, and a concept store complete the picture.
The menu, overseen by Corporate Executive Chef Giuseppe Pezzella, leans into seasonal Italian cooking with a Miami sensibility: handmade pastas, shared plates of grilled octopus and king prawns, sliced Wagyu with salsa verde, and desserts that include a Gelato Pistacchio, finished with caramelized pistachio and olive oil. The dessert has become a cult signature in Dubai and now anchors every Gigi location worldwide. At the center of the bar program sits the Bellini Bar, an ode to the Italian aperitivo that feels both timeless and completely of the moment.

Mimi Kakushi: A Cinematic World on the Fourth Floor
Upstairs, the experience shifts entirely. Mimi Kakushi, the acclaimed Japanese-inspired concept whose Dubai bar was ranked No. 36 on the World’s 50 Best Bars 2025 list. It opened May 1st on the fourth floor and is exclusively for Delano Members Club members and hotel guests.
The design draws on Oriental Art Deco references: wooden screens, hand-painted walls, layered textures, and a curated scent identity that makes the space feel like stepping into another era entirely. The concept’s guiding philosophy: A Taste of the East, The Rhythm of the West, plays out across a menu that moves from Wagyu Beef Tataki with fresh truffle and truffle ponzu to Miso Black Cod and a Braised Short Rib with soy and koji sauce.
The cocktail menu is equally theatrical. The Nara Nara, a Botanist gin martini served within a block of ice at minus four degrees Fahrenheit, is reportedly one of the coldest martinis in the world. It is exactly the kind of detail that makes Mimi Kakushi feel less like a restaurant and more like a destination in its own right.

Rose Bar: The Icon, Reimagined
Just off the lobby, Delano reintroduces one of its most beloved original spaces. The Rose Bar returns with its signature burgundy tones, velvet seating, and dusky lighting, a discreet, glamorous hideaway that nods to 1980s nightlife culture while feeling entirely current. A Rose Old Fashioned layered with salted caramel and chocolate, a Royal Paloma lifted with Champagne and yuzu, and late-night bites of Lobster Roll and Tuna Tartare make it the kind of place you arrive at for one drink and leave much later than planned.

The Delano has always carried a certain mythology, a hotel that understood culture and design as well as it understood hospitality. This reopening does not try to recreate that mythology. It builds on it, with a partner in Paris Society that operates with the same global fluency and the same instinct for creating spaces people genuinely want to be in.
“Delano has always been a place where culture, design, and social energy converge,” said Ben Pundole, Chief Brand Officer of Delano. With Gigi, Mimi Kakushi, Rose Bar, and the newly added Café Delano rounding out the morning-through-midnight experience, that convergence has never felt more deliberate — or more exciting.
South Beach has a new anchor. And it was worth the wait.
Delano Miami Beach is located on Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. Gigi Rigolatto is open to the public. Mimi Kakushi is exclusive to Delano Members Club members and hotel guests.
