Jimmy Choo Makes an Impact in the Design District for Art Week
Jimmy Choo added a major fashion moment to Miami Art Week this year. Sandra Choi and Harry Nuriev brought a tight group of friends of the house together for a relaxed luncheon at ZZ’s Club Miami before unveiling their newest collaboration in the Design District. The crowd skewed fashion insiders and Miami regulars — Erin Wasson, Karolina Kurkova, Camila Coelho, Amelie Zilber, Justine Skye, Vita Sidorkina, Pritika Swarup, and Sophia Kianni among them.

The installation itself is the real conversation starter. Nuriev, founder and creative director of Crosby Studios, is known for pushing the limits of form and scale, and that spirit comes through here. He reimagined the boutique’s façade with an oversized chrome sculpture of Jimmy Choo’s IXIA drop heel pump. It looks like it’s breaking through the front window, creating a surreal, larger-than-life moment. Inside, a selection of pieces pulled from Jimmy Choo Creative Director Sandra Choi’s personal archive adds another layer, giving visitors a glimpse at the craftsmanship and design evolution that shape the brand.

The presentation continues the creative back-and-forth between Choi and Nuriev, which has unfolded in Paris, Tokyo, Milan, and now Miami. Here, it lands in a way that feels especially fitting. Art Week is full of installations and visual experiments, but this one stands out because it blurs the line between fashion object and sculptural statement. The installation runs through December 7 in the Design District.
