Haute Retail: CB2 Opens on Atlanta’s Midtown Mile

CB2, the little sister of furniture store Crate & Barrel opened up its 14,000-square foot store in Daniel Corp and Selig Enterprises’ 12 & Midtownproject. Already, it is a huge hit among the city shoppers and especially those who live in one of the many luxury condos in Midtown.  Now, instead of online or catalogue shopping from our favorite Chicago-based concept, we can peruse and buy the selection of modern furnishings perfect for your loft, condo or home. The condo owners who live above the flagship store are especially excited for the polished selection of home décor.  

CB2’s opening marks the first major retail to open a storefront on Peachtree Street’s new “Midtown Mile”– which is over 1million-square feet of store front retail spanning along Peachtree St. and surrounding streets.  Atlanta developers are hoping to create a retail destination much like the Magnificent Mile in Chicago. The trendy CB2, catering to the young, hip set, is a milestone of Atlanta’s transformation among the “Midtown Mile”.  

After hearing some whispers about some specific luxury retailers taking an interest in this Midtown location, we can’t wait to see what will open next. But for now, we are loving the great one-of-a-kind home accessories and furnishings from CB2.
