From Clusterfest to Pride, Here Are 8 Events Not To Miss This June

Want to do something fabulous this June? Here are the events that you should not miss.
The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco has moved the popular floral event, Bouquets to Arts, to late spring, specifically next week, June 4-9. Local floral designers are invited to create pieces inspired by artwork found in the de Young museum’s collection. The gorgeous floral interpretations will be displayed for one week only starting at the opening night gala on June 2.

Bummed you didn’t make it to BottleRock this year? Go to the next best thing: Gundlach Bundschu Winery’s 10th annual music festival, Huichica Sonoma. The two-day event, which takes place June 7-8, features emerging folk and indie artists on four stages. Of course, there will also be plenty of fine wine and delicious dining options.

Foodies take note! On Tuesday, June 11 the city’s top chefs will come together to toast StarChefs rising stars. Che Fico’s David Nayfeld, Nico’s Nicolas Delaroque, and Nightbird’s Kim Alter are a few of the chefs who will be honored at an awards ceremony that includes a VIP reception and walk around tasting. The party takes place at Terra Gallery and starts at 5:45 p.m.
Golf legends and aspiring athletes will descend on Pebble Beach for the biggest tournament of the year, the US Open June 10-16. Stay tuned for more about this event, which coincides with the 100th anniversary of Pebble Beach. Our in-depth story comes out tomorrow.

June 11-23 is the 37th annual San Francisco Jazz Festival. With 41 shows at four different venues in Hayes Valley, it promises to be a delightful musical event. Headliners include Jazzmeia Horn, José James, Orquesta Akokán, The Cookers, William Bell, and Roy Ayers.

Comedy Central’s annual laugh-a-thon, Clusterfest, is going down at Civic Center June 21 through 23. The nation’s top comedians—Amy Poehler, John Mulaney, Patton Oswalt, Issa Rae, Leslie Jones, and many more—will deliver hysterical performances at this not-to-be-missed music-and-standup extravaganza.

Epic Steak is throwing an epic pork party called High on the Hog on Sunday, June 23. This year is the 10th annual High on the Hog, a benefit for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Enjoy tasty pork dishes and Pinot Noir pairings on the patio of the waterfront restaurant. Cheers!
