In New York City, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation—BCRF—hosted its annual Hot Pink Party at the Park Avenue Armory. Hosted by Global Ambassador of The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign Elizabeth Hurley, the event raised $6 million for breast cancer research and acknowledged the strides that BCRF investigators have made in the field of breast cancer research since the organization was founded in 1993.

Guests enjoyed performances by 16-time Grammy Award-winning musical talent David Foster, as well as Pia Toscanini, Loren Allred and Fernando Varela, as well as impromptu performances from Maxwell, Katherine McPhee and Josh Groban, who dialed in via video conference. Beauty entrepreneur and breast cancer survivor Sonia Kashuk was honored at the event with the Roslyn and Leslie Goldstein Unsung Hero Award—presented by Jenny B. Fine, Executive Editor, Beauty at Women’s Wear Daily—to recognize her dedicated friendship to Fine during her own diagnosis.

Since BCRF’s establishment 25 years ago—the top breast cancer charity in the United States—the percentage of breast cancer mortalities has decreased by almost 40-percent, raising more money for metastatic and breast cancer research than any other private funder/organization across the globe.
