If you’re looking to expand your contemporary art collection, look no further than CÉVÉ. Specializing in modern sculptures, the French artist’s unique and recognizable pieces seamlessly combine two very different worlds: the worlds of high luxury and of innocent childhood.

Her latest collection is called “Young Forever” and, as it is her first solo exhibition in the USA, it will be showcased until November 7th at the world-renowned HG Contemporary Gallery in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood. The exhibition was curated for months along with gallery owner Philippe Hoerle-Guggenheim. The nine gorgeous, resin with silver coating and gloss-finished teddy bears are numbered out of eight and come in five different colors, as well as three different sizes. Packaged in a black velvet case along with a pedestal and personalized plaque, each piece will make the perfect addition to any art collection. Created, designed and crafted in France, the collection was inspired by the original miniature piece that she created over 10 years ago and truly embodies the intersection of the two worlds that CÉVÉ focuses on in her work: luxury and childhood. “Most of us have timeless memories with a Teddy Bear so why not bringing back the childhood innocence with us every day,” began CÉVÉ on the opening night of her exhibition. “That is what makes us young forever!”

CÉVÉ has also participated in countless exhibitions both in her home country of France and in countries across the globe. Just a few years ago, she was named Chairman of the Sculpture Department of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts—or SNBA—which was also the first time a female was granted this distinction. In 2014, she entered the Daubigny Museum in Auvers-Sur-Oise in France, and later in 2016, in the Pompon Museum in Daubigny, France, for a solo exhibition. She presently is showcased in permanent exhibitions in the following French galleries: Art Gallery Joel Dupuis, Hardelot (62), Art Gallery Temps del Arts, Megeve (74), Art Gallery “Trois cerises sur une étagère”, Paris 6 (75) and Art Gallery Memorial de Montmartre, Place du Tertre, Paris 18 (75) as well as Sist’Art Gallery, Piazza San Marco, Venezia (IT) and Art&Emotion Fine Art, Lausanne (CH). 2018 marks another expansion of her international presence with a new gallery in Shanghai and now in New York.

Other than her accolades, what makes CÉVÉ so special is her belief that sculptures are not purely made for observational purposes; rather, art-lovers should not just view the piece, but actually feel it, having an impact on their life and their soul. The red variation of her latest collection (which also happens to be the largest) is called Red Moon, and is on display at the famed Baccarat Hotel in New York City. “It was a dream to make it one day to New York. And when I see the success of this first exhibition, I can only dream bigger,” she noted.
