Warriors Throw Epic Surprise Birthday For Steph Curry
E-40 performed and chef Adam Sobel served ribs. Here's a look inside the basketball star's 30th birthday bash in San Francisco.
Last night, Warriors star player, Stephen Curry, celebrated his 30th birthday in San Francisco. The surprise party took place at an undisclosed location on the waterfront—perhaps Fort Mason? Curry pulled up in a yacht to the venue with all of his friends and family members waiting for him.
His ankle, which has kept him from playing in two games that the Warriors lost over the weekend, appears to be better. As seen in a series of videos, shared by Curry’s wife, Ayesha on Instagram, Curry danced and sang karaoke with his pals and fellow players, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, at the party. Even coach Steve Kerr got in on the fun. Klay Thompson was so into getting his grove on that he removed his shoes and fell off the main stage.
Curry’s family members also took part in the festivities. Daughters, Riley and Ryan, were at the party, and danced with their dad while charming the crowd. Curry’s grandmother danced to Luther Vandross while Green serenaded the lyrics. It seems that everyone at the party was in the mood for dancing!
Rapper E-40 performed and Hayley Williams sang Curry Happy Birthday. Michael Mina’s right hand man, chef Adam Sobel, served ribs, presumably from Ayesha Curry’s International Smoke restaurant. The party was so fantastic that the Warriors cancelled practice today. Happy Birthday Steph!
