The Best Places To Indulge In Truffle Fries

Before slapping the word “best” on any list, as an editor and as a person, I ask before I write in my attempt to report as close to the truth as possible. What I find to be the best is not enough to compile such lists…at least not for me. It doesn’t seem fair. What I like to do is ask the communities that dine what their recommendations are, then head out to investigate for myself. I know, tough, tough job. When I set out to find the best places to indulge in truffle fries I thought about the word indulge, so I looked it up. “Indulge, verb, to allow oneself to enjoy the pleasure of,” and then the word “allow,” stuck out like staring directly at the sun. Do we really need to give ourselves permission to enjoy the luxuries of something as simple as truffle fries? I thought that period of our lives was over? Well, if it’s permission you’re waiting for I say, “go forth my child–indulge.”
