Quick Hits: Must-Try Specials of National Burger Month in Miami
Starting May 1st, National Burger Month is taking the Magic City by storm with a 4-week-long marathon of specialty burgers hot off the grill at Miami’s restaurant hotspots. Here, we take a look at restaurants like Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak and The Dutch for burgers that are sure to satisfy the meat-lovers celebrating this foodie holiday.
The “Haute Burger” at Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak
Acclaimed Chef Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak restaurant at Turnberry Isle in Aventura is diving into National Burger month with a line-up of $21 burgers each week of the month that are sure to win over the hearts and stomachs of enthusiastic eaters. The menu will feature a different patty each week, but our personal favorite is the best saved for last, available in Week 4: the Haute Burger. With a delicious combination of foie gras aioli, black truffle, red wine and balsamic onions, the sandwich is every bit deserving of its name and worth every penny.
The Salmon Burger at Grown
Power couple Shannon and Ray Allen, owners and operators of the East Coast’s first USDA Organic Certified restaurant, Grown, are bringing a savory alternative for the restaurant-goers that want to celebrate the month but prefer seafood over beef with their signature Salmon Burger. Served pan seared with fresh romaine lettuce, sliced Roma tomatoes, caramelized onions and Dijon aioli on a toasted Ezekiel bun, the sandwich is available Monday, May 1, 2017 to Sunday May 7, 2017, and proceeds will benefit the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation (DRIF).
LT Steak and Seafood
Famed chef Laurent Tourondel’s LT Steak and Seafood at the iconic Betsy Hotel in Miami Beach is highlighting its legendary burger for the occasion—The Boucher Burger. The mouthwatering, house-favorite burger is deliciously composed of cheddar, tobacco spiced onion rings, black pepper bacon, pickled jalapenos and BBQ sauce—it’s so good, you will definitely be craving more. Luckily, it’s available for lunch and dinner at the restaurant, as well as at The Conservatory of the hotel.

River Yacht Club is already a prime dining destination with its waterfront seating and picturesque view of the Miami skyline, but it’s about to become an even better place to be this month for burger lovers. The restaurant hotspot will be bringing the Keith’s Truffle Burger to the table with an indulgent concoction of gorgonzola, caramelized onions, truffle butter and shaved truffles, available all month long for a brunch, lunch or dinner that even the most refined of palettes won’t forget.

Double Cheddar Burger at The Dutch
New York restaurateur and chef Andrew Carmellini’s famous Double Cheddar Burger is finally making its way from The Dutch New York City onto the menu of the restaurant’s Miami outpost, featuring a succulent sandwich that boasts a secret sauce and a side of fries. Foodies will be able to find this much-awaited burger all month long at the restaurant, which is located inside The W Hotel South Beach.
