The 13 – The Most Luxurious Hotel in Macau
The 'all-villa' resort has 200 suites that measure up to 30,000 square feet!
Last week, thanks to Stephen Hung and his wife Deborah, I had the privilege of taking a private tour of the most luxurious hotel in the world, The 13. Styled liked a French palace, The 13 took $1.6 billion to build and will open summer 2017.
The hotel was the most expensive hotel ever built, with the cost of building the project working out to $5 million per guest room. Every butler was trained by MCM Palace Consultants and certified by the English Guild of Butlers, while the Rolls-Royce Phantom chauffeurs were trained in England.
The 13 will also have an invitation-only for shopping, via Stephen Hung. L’Atelier, where guests can buy limited edition items from luxury brands like Buccelati and Graff. The hotel will have 3 Michelin star restaurants: Japanese, Chinese and French. L’Ambroisie, one of the restaurants, is a famous French restaurant in Paris.
The Baroque-inspired hotel is a project by The 13 Holdings Ltd, whose company’s joint chairman is Stephen Hung.
The ‘all-villa’ resort has 200 suites that measure up to 30,000 square feet, along with a 24-hour butler service available to each room, and a fleet of Rolls Royces on hand to chauffeur guests to and from the hotel.
Every Villa du Comte room features a marble Roman bath that is placed beneath a vaulted Baroque ceiling, supported by neo-classical columns and a crystal chandelier, and when no one is in the bath it can be concealed by a retractable marble floor.
As if they were a New York-style penthouse, guests will access their villas via lifts which open directly into a private lobby.
It was really incredible experience to visit this real estate version of art. The luxury world is anxiously waiting to experience The 13.
