Star Spangled Events: The Haute 5 Fourth of July Parties in Atlanta

Happy birthday, America. Here’s a look at the Haute 5 haute spots for the Atlanta crowd to go on this red, white and blue holiday.

Unplugged in the Park

Local singer and songwriter Ben Deignan will be playing his popular blends of blues at this year’s Unplugged at the Park Concert Series 2010 at Piedmont Park. The Sunday free concert starts in june and goes until October, but this Sunday will be especially fun since you will be able to rock the night away with great music, and a great view of fireworks. Get there early for a good spot and definitely wear comfortable shoes.

Red, Wine and Brew

Party in Midtown on Peachtree Street for an all day block party. Tickets are $10 ($5 if you bring your shirt from the Peachtree Road Race), and will include live music, food and prizes. Proceeds from the  tickets will be donated to Bert’s Big Adventure, a local non-profit that helps families that have children ages 5 to 9 with chronic and terminal illness, take an all expense paid trip to Disney World. Melting Pot, Gordon Biersch and Livingston are included in the fun. They will be offering $4 drink and menu specials.

Weekend Party at Georgian Terrace

If you are looking to start early this weekend, head to the Georgian Terrace Hotel. The hotel will play host to Bill Kaelin and DJ Vicki Powell’s two-day event of drinking, eating and poolside relaxing. The party kicks off Saturday night and is followed by a Sunday morning brunch and then a roof top pool party where you can get a great view of the fireworks.

Luxe at the Mansion

The luxurious Mansion on Peachtreewill host hotel and restaurant guest for a truly unforgettable extravaganza featuring an exclusive All-American gourmet barbecue buffet dinner, deluxe accommodations and an unparalleled view of the Lenox Square fireworks from the 45^th floor of the residences. There will also be patriotic music and a champagne toast.

W Atlanta Buckhead Rooftop Party

Get a close up and VIP view of the Lenox Square fireworks from the gorgeous rooftop patio at Whiskey Blue (the gorgeous rooftop bar of W Atlanta Buckhead) If you have not already purchased your tickets to this party (which will kick-off at 3 p.m.), you may be out of luck. But there is no harm in trying, since these will be the hottest seats in the city. There will also be food and drink specials throughout the night.
