Model Paola Paulin Cadavid Shares Her Haute Secrets to LA
Paola Paulin Cadavid has a face you simply can’t forget—which is a good thing given her current paths as both an actress and model. Cadavid’s international reach is wide: the Mexico-born beauty was raised in Medellín, Colombia and speaks English, Spanish and French. After graduating with an International Business Management degree from Pontifical Bolivarian University, she was hired by ProColombia, the Colombian Government Trade Bureau as an Investment Assistant, and relocated to Miami. In 2012, Paulin decided to take a leap of faith and act on her aspirations to join the modeling and acting world. Her natural talent and charisma quickly attracted the attention and interest of some of the world’s most prestigious modeling networks. Soon after signing with Elite Model Management, she began to model for runways in SwimWeek, Mercedes Fashion Week, and Miami Funkshion. The acting bug then bit her and she started her career as a voice actor, most notably on South Park. Most recently, she was hired to play the role of Michelle in the HBO hit series, Ballers, produced by Mark Wahlberg and starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The show’s success as the network’s highest rated comedy since 2009 has led to an increase in media appearances by Paulin to discuss the role of Latinas in Hollywood. She is currently attached to play the role of Dolores Del Rio, the first major Latin Hollywood star, in El Indio, a biopic based on the life of Emilio “El Indio” Fernandez, the eccentric godfather of Mexican cinema. Here, this new Los Angeles resident shares the secrets she’s quickly learned to the City of Angels.
