Cristophe Schatteman has a motto, and it is this: “Beauty should be simple.” That said, the Belgian-born stylist and entrepreneur has traveled all over the world making his mark on the hair care industry. The founder of Cristophe salons and products started as an apprentice at the age of 13, working in Paris, the south of France, Spain and London before arriving in America at the age of 27. Rather than following trends, Cristophe personalizes each cut to best complement the style and personality of his clients, and has been trusted by presidents, actors and a plethora of prominent figures. He now boasts five salons around the world with locations in Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, Las Vegas, Washington, DC and St. Barth, with nearly 90 stylists, colorists and manicurists as well as the first color-coded product line, Cristophe Professional. Here, this hair care guru shares his haute secrets to the City of Angels.
