Award-winning Dutch illusionist Hans Klok, billed as “the World’s Fastest Illusionist” and the “New Houdini,” performed two shows on Yas Island near Abu Dhabi over the weekend. The shows were on Friday and Saturday and marked the first time he has ever performed in the Middle East.

Klok’s show paid homage to the late Harry Houdini, one of the most talented and best-known illusionists ever. The show was entitled Metamorphosis, and in it, Hans Klok swapped places with his assistant in a matter of seconds while being trapped in a trunk. Among the other show-stopping tricks he performed was his trademark floating light bulb trick and Houdini’s well-known Chinese water torture cell trick.
