The Related Group Opens Colorful Icon Bay in Edgewater
The Related Group recently opened their newest residential development, Icon Bay that features artwork from the National YoungArts Foundation, displayed in a public park, that will be available to the public. Related Group purchased the land for the luxury waterfront condos located in the Edgewater in January of 2014 and on June 26th, Carlos Rosso, President of The Related Group’s Condo Division attended the opening for the 42-story tower and sculpture garden.
Icon Bay will have 300 units overlooking Biscayne Bay in the Edgewater neighborhood. Along with that, the building boasts private elevators, foyers, a waterfront deck with an infinity pool and private cabanas, a waterfront fitness center equipped with trainers and planned yoga and pilates classes, a top-of-the-line spa, a professionally managed tennis court along and many more first-class amenities.
Related Group teamed up with Arquitectonica, the major architecture firm to design Icon Bay. ArquitectonicaGEO contributed by landscape for the park and sculpture garden while ArquitectonicaINTERIORS designed the inside space to match the entire structure.
The colorful Icon Bay Park will bring life to the growing neighborhood of Edgewater by giving children of ages 15 through 18 a chance to showcase their hard work. The Park will feature the works of last years winners of the YoungArts sculpture competition. Winners were chosen by the Related Group’s art committee and members from the local, national and international arts and architecture community. The YoungArts Foundation has facilitated $60 million in scholarship opportunities as well as allowing participants to work with the most distinguished artists in the world with the Carnival Foundation being one of their premier sponsors.
