Everyone knows the “Mad Fisherman” for his fishing show “Charlie Moore Outdoors” shown on New England Sports Network (NESN) each week, which features Charlie catching largemouth bass with local big names like New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady, former Boston Bruins Forward Milan Lucic and Dropkick Murphys frontman Ken Casey. He also invites celebrity musicians like Ted Nugent and members of Lynyrd Skynyrd aboard his fishing boat to cast a line with him.
The Emmy award winning angler and author of The Mad Fisherman also hosts NBC Sports Charlie Moore: No Offense and serves as the executive producer of the NHL Network’s/NESN’s Behind the B. He is also the executive producer of The New England Traveler on NESN and the owner of Mad Fish Productions. New England favorite Brigham’s Ice Cream even named a flavor in his honor (Mad Fish Mud) a few years ago with sales benefiting HIV/AIDS programs at Children’s Hospital in Boston. He now also offers his own line of spices available on his website and recently partnered with Quesada to offer a limited edition cigar series, Trelos Psaria, available at retailers throughout New England.
We caught up with him recently to find out what he loves most about Boston.
