A Look Back at Day Two of the Electric Daisy Carnival
The second night of the 19th annual Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas hosted another sold-out crowd of smiling revelers, eager to continue their journey under the Electric Sky. Day two of EDC Las Vegas brought even more silly costumed performers, dazzling art installations and amazing performances from the world’s most talented artists.
For festival goers who are drawn to the harder styles of dance, the wasteLAND stage, hosted by Basscon, featured nonstop Hardstyle performances on a brand new stage design. DJs spun from the torch of Lady Liberty, surrounded by 32 wrecked, graffitied cars, freight train containers and one military helicopter.
Those looking to enjoy live sets in a more serene environment could experience a specially created three-course seated dinner at The Terrace restaurant, with a gorgeous view of kineticFIELD. Executive chef Keven Lee brought the spirit of each dish to life with beautifully crafted dishes and presentation.
Adding to the color and whimsy of festival grounds, were almost two dozen carnival rides inviting attendees to celebrate their inner child. Rides included four of EDC’s iconic Ferris wheels and the childhood classic Super Slide, as well as the Zipper, Vertigo, Cliff Hanger, Rampage, and Ring of Fire for thrill seekers.
The famous EDC theatrical performers captivated audiences with their quirky costumes and graceful dancing while interacting with fans throughout the evening. At Midnight, the Sparkle Pops, Military Brats, Cosmic Cuties, Bumble Bee Honeys, Cyber Angles and Toy Soldiers paraded through Carnival Square showing off their infectious energy and bubbly personalities.
Bringing more character and happy vibes to the landscape was the aptly named funkHOUSE stage, brand new to EDC Las Vegas. The colorful 360-degree stage structure is made completely out of found and recycled materials, including the decor and classic vinyl records gracing the walls. The stage lineup featured the best of Groove, Disco, Soul and Hip-Hop, transporting fans back in time.
