Titans of industry, private jet owners and custom suit connoisseurs will love Brioni’s 18-carat aviator mirrored frames that are hand-assembled and boast a polarized, non-glare platinum lenses, treated with a hydro-oleophobic process.Very complicated but rest assured it means that you will see the world through more than rose colored glasses— your baby blues will be shaded in the ultimate of fine lens.The 18-carat glasses are sold with a hand-made ( of course) chocolate-brown nabuk case, housed in an elegant walnut box.
The Italian maker of made-to-order suits began in 1945 when master tailor, Nazareno Fonticoli and his business partner, Gaetano Savini opened a shop in Rome. The name Brioni originated from the Croatian island group—Brijuni Islands. They have 25 boutiques world wide with eight in the United States. They’ve got all the important USA regions covered—two in New York, and one in each city; Beverly Hills, Bal Harbour, Costa Mesa, Palm Beach, Chicago and Las Vegas.
Should you want to brag about owning a pair of the $10,000 frames, dash over to the nearest Brioni shop — they are limited to only 70 pieces. Just make sure not to leave them in a taxi, Gold Edition 70, $9,950.
