The Perfect Summer Beverage That You Can Make at Home
We've got an exclusive recipe to one of our favorite burger joint's homemade sodas. Here's how Roam Burgers makes their sparkling lemonade.

It’s summer! Almost. With locations in the Marina and on Fillmore Street in San Francisco, Roam Burgers has long been one of our go-to spots for a superb fast casual meal. The eco-friendly restaurant in San Francisco uses only the best local ingredients — burgers are made with 100% grass fed beef, free-range turkey, all-natural bison, and organic vegetables. We love how Roam let’s you build your own burger by choosing the protein and style of the sandwich. We also love their finger-licking good fries, loaded seasonal farmers market salad, excellent thick milk shakes, and delightful house made sodas. Since we recently plucked the last of our Meyer lemons from the tree, we reached out to the folks at Roam to learn how they make their invigorating sparkling mayer lemon soda. This fizzy refresher is lovely on it’s own, but also makes for an excellent cocktail base — just add your spirit of choice be it vodka, gin, or bourbon and you’ve got yourself a special adult lemonade. Pair it with a burger, from Roam of course.
Meyer Lemon Artisan Soda
Serves 1
Note from Roam: As a cross between a lemon and a mandarin orange, Meyer lemons have sweeter juice, less tartness, and more floral scent than other lemon varieties. To sweeten, we use agave nectar, which is a lower glycemic sweetener from a cactus.
3 ounces freshly squeezed Meyer lemon juice, approximately 2 lemons
