Dr. Jhonny Salomon Discusses the Benefits of Fat Grafting
Haute Living recently chatted with Dr. Jhonny Salomon—a Miami-based cosmetic surgeon known as the “face man,” due to his knack for creating customized plans for his patients based on extensive evaluations, coupled with his unparalleled skill set and unique artistic point of view.
Below, he provides some insight on the benefits of fat grafting, a procedure that entails utilizing a person’s own body fat to restore youthfulness to his or her face and neck.
What are the benefits of fat grafting?
Fat grafting is considered to be the ultimate filler and has become one of the most preferred options on the market today. In addition to it being a more natural and permanent filler, fat grafting has a stem cell effect that provides maximum regeneration. It is extremely versatile, thus allowing experienced surgeons the ability to deliver 5-8 years of youth to their patients.

How does fat grafting compare to alternative medical procedures?
Similar to the trending vampire facial, it utilizes the benefits of stem cell regeneration. Fat grafting addresses the twofold aging process to reverse the loss of volume and elasticity of treated areas. Often times, I choose to combine fat grafting with non-invasive procedures such as Thermage as well as surgical procedures such as facelifts or liposuction of the neck area.
