Haute 100 NY: Marc Jacobs’ New Leather-Clad Collection Hits Stores
Haute 100 designer Marc Jacob’s latest collaboration hit stores today, and the results are pretty out there. The fearless designer partnered up with leather aficionado Zana Bayne to create a S&M inspired line of accessories that is probably better suited for the bedroom than a day at the office. Bayne describes the collection as “cheeky” and “sexy” and says, “The best thing about the collaboration is that they are pieces that you can display and show off. They make for great conversation starters, and are perfect to wear to a party or a masquerade.”
If you still had any lingering doubts that Hilary Clinton would be gracing presidential ballots 2016, consider them squashed. The Haute 100 member and former First Lady turned Secretary of State is now 100 percent running for President in 2016 according to campaign advisors and democrats close to the Clinton camp. Hubby Bill Clinton is reportedly deeply involved in the election campaign himself, and considers Jeb Bush her biggest opponent for the coveted position, though Hilary might face some healthy competition elsewhere. Clinton is expected to officially announce her candidacy in April.
Legendary music producer and Haute 100 member Clive Davis is being honored by Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Institute of 1770, which acknowledges extraordinary achievement in the performing arts. Davis is receiving The Order of the Golden Sphinx award, the institute’s highest honor. Andrew Farkas, Chairman of the institute, said in a statement: “Clive’s tremendous achievements in discovering and fostering new musical talent embodies the passion of those individuals upon whom we proudly bestow our highest honor.” Davis will recieve his award at the annual Order of the Golden Sphinx Gala on April 17 at New York City’s Plaza Hotel.
