Weekend Itinerary: What to do in Miami
10 AM: Grab brunch at Bulla Gastrobar.
Named after Spanish slang for chatter and what people are talking about, Bulla Gastrobar brings a taste of Spain’s popular tapas restaurants to Coral Gables. After you sleep in, stop by for a weekend brunch, where you can pair a mimosa or bottomless sangria with Spanish cheeses, cured meats and house favorites, like melon con bellota, huevos benedictos, blueberry and ricotta pancakes and conchinillo hash.
2 PM: Catch the latest afternoon show at Actor’s Playhouse.
Located right in the middle of Miami’s famed Miracle Mile, Actor’s Playhouse at the Miracle Theater brings some of the best of on- and off-broadway to the Miami MainStage.
5 PM: Have a glass of wine at Cibo Wine Bar.
Finish your day on the mile with a glass of your favorite red or white at one of the area’s hautest wine bars: Cibo. Grab a table by the bar, order their best bottle and watch as Cibo’s very own “wine angels” latch to a harness and swing across the glass-encased cellar to get it for your themselves.
8 PM: Eat dinner at Cantina La Veinte.
Go home, freshen up and venture out to Brickell Avenue for an upscale Mexican feast at the Icon Brickell’s new Cantina La Veinte. Straight out of Mexico City, start with aguachile, a lime-flavored ceviche, and keep the night going with queso fresco skewers with baked zucchini blossoms, rib eye chicharrones and a fresh margarita and a chipotle chile filled with goat cheese with sugar cane reduction.
10:30 PM: Finish the night at FIFTY Miami Ultra Lounge.
Located on the rooftop of the famed Viceroy Hotel, FIFTY offers guests a spectacular, Asian-inflected private pool and lounge, with open views of Biscayne Bay. The hotspot for hip locals, international A-listers and celebrities alike, this lounge promises classic cocktails in a setting that is chic, sexy and quintessentially Miami.
