Relaxed opulence is what you’d typically expect to find in Manhattan Beach—where Hollywood’s top producers reside away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood—and The Rockefeller mimics its residents and surroundings by providing a casual yet sophisticated ambiance, contemporary comfort food and a wide selection of craft beer.

Here you’ll find windows that open up to the ocean breeze, dark wood and warm colors, making your experience—whether it’s a for a darker and more intimate dinner or a a bright and cheerful brunch—a great one.

For dinner, nosh on an updated menu of snapper tacos, pots de crème and meatballs, which in the restaurant’s signature style, are family style (sharing is caring, after all).

Other highlights of this comfortable and consistently good menu include truffle mac n’ cheese with bacon, taleggio, parmesan and jack cheese that just oozes indulgence, oysters Rockefeller with le-trappe cream, rainbow char and parmesan and amazing seared ahi tacos with wasabi crema, sesame ginger cabbage slaw and avocado. Cap your meal with the eatery’s warm, gooey and melt-in-your-mouth chocolate chip cookies.

On the extensive beer and wine list you’ll find boutique favorites as well as libations such as Franziskaner hef, Allagash White Belgian white and Dubhe Imperial Black.

Don’t miss out on brunch, either: The Rockefeller offers four different flavors of their bottomless mimosas (our advice: go for the guava) as well as indulgent treats such as homemade doughnut holes with cinnamon sugar and homemade jam and the chicken & waffles—bone-in chicken, whole wheat sage waffle, bacon butter and maple syrup.

In addition to its fare and ambiance, The Rockfeller is a philanthropic eatery: its menu features discounted items that help with charity like its Feel Good Burger, served every Tuesday, with all proceeds supporting local charities like the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
