Va Va Vrroom! Bugatti To Open First Clothing Store In London
Super-car brand, Bugatti, to open London fashion store
Bugatti has secured a deal to open its first European fashion store in London. The super-car brand launched its first clothing line at Milan Fashion Week last year and has subsequently been searching for shop locations around the world.
The French company – famed for its Veyron super-car – announced this week that it has taken a 10 year lease on 5,400 sq ft of space at 20 Brompton Road. Owned by Asod Aziz’s Criterion Capital – a firm which also owns the Trocadero – the Knightsbridge store will sell its Ettore Bugatti luxury clothing, lifestyle and accessories line alongside products by brands including glass and jewellery firm, Lalique, and Swiss watch group, Parmigiani Fleurier.
Luxury sports car maker, Bugatti, was founded by an Italian in 1909 but is today owned by Volkswagen. Richard Scott of Nash Bond, who advised Criterion Capital, said: “To have a world-renowned luxury brand such as Bugatti choose Lonon for their first store confirms the capital as the number one worldwide luxury retail destination.”
Asif Aziz, chief executive of Criterion Capital, added: “Bugatti is an exciting addition to London and will add to the worldwide appeal of the capital to international visitors.”
The London store will open by next year and be followed by Bugatti stores in Beijing and Hong Kong.
