The Standard Spa
Looking for an amazing way to decompress? I found it. Last week, my best friend treated me to the ultimate birthday gift: a 75-minute massage at the Standard Spa on Miami Beach. The Standard is well known for their property, ‘The Shop,’ the priceless view, the yoga classes and the Turkish Hammam. For years I had heard of their wonderful treatments, but never experienced it. I am proud to say that I am fully obsessed by what I encountered, starting with my therapist Klodi, a fascinating Haitian born and Paris-raised gentleman, who took me on an atypical journey using approximately three different techniques of massage.
Klodi Lemone, is the Standard’s in-house expert on Oriental style massage treatments. For lovers of Oriental Bodywork, Klodi offers Shiatsu, Tuina, and Wudan massage. He has been teaching Martial Arts for the past 37 years in addition to providing massage therapy. He also works with each guest to foster improvement of the body-mind-soul dynamic. As they say in Paris ‘tres chic!’
