Exhibition “Art Brazil China” proposes discussion between the two countries
To relate the art of Brazil and China, a new exhibit arrives in São Paulo. The title is “China Art Brazil” and begins today at Oca, museum located inside the beautiful Parque do Ibirapuera. The proposal is to discuss and reflect on how the current art of these two countries may be similar. The exhibition comprises 52 works, including works of Oriental enshrined as Xiachun Miao and Thiehai. Curation is signed by Brazilian Tereza de Arruda, a Brazilian based in Berlin.
Those interested in oriental culture can enjoy the ride and visit the Japanese Pavilion, also located inside the Ibirapuera Park. Inaugurated in 1954, when the city of São Paulo has completed 400 years, the site was built after the Japanese community residing here campaign. The space is a perfect replica of the Katsura Palace in Kyoto, and has a tea room to perform the traditional ceremony.
