Breguet Unveils Seven New Models at BaselWorld 2014
From an ultra-thin tourbillon to a secret watch fit for a queen, we've got a look at Breguet's new creations...
Breguet dazzled the crowds at BaselWorld with the unveiling of seven new models. Here’s a close-up look at the historic manufacture’s new creations.
This 42mm platinum timepiece features an extra-thin self-winding movement with tourbillon. The 18K gold dial features four silvered and engine-turned patterns. The dial also features an off-centre dial with Breguet-blue steel hour and minute hands, small seconds on the tourbillon axis between 4 and 6 o’clock, and a 90-hour power reserve indicator between 8 and 10 o’clock.
This 41mm 18K rose gold perpetual calendar timepiece features an open-worked 3D dial with a skeletonized tourbillon. The 18K gold dial features four silvered and engine-turned patterns. The dial also features hours and minutes on a sapphire disc, small seconds on the tourbillon axis, the date at 12 o’clock, months and leap years at 3 o’clock, and days at 9 o’clock.
This 33.5mm 18K white gold timepiece features a bezel and lugs set with 88 brilliant-cut diamonds. The 18K gold dial features four silvered and engine-turned patterns. The dial also features hours and minutes, a central chronograph seconds hand, and the date at 3 o’clock.
This 42.05mm x 34 mm 18K white gold timepiece features a bezel and caseband set with 131 baguette diamonds, a flange set with 73 brilliant-cut diamonds, a crown set with a briolette diamond and an attachment paved with a frosting of 35 brilliant-cut diamonds. The 18K gold dial features a further 147 brilliant-cut diamonds. The dial also features a day/night indicator where the hand is replaced by a rotating disc, as well as hours and minutes on the lower half of the dial.
This 43mm x 34.95mm 18K rose gold timepiece features a crown set with an inverted diamond and an attachment set with 16 brilliant-cut diamonds. The dial is silvered and engine-turned 18K gold. The dial features oversized Roman numerals in rose gold at 12 and 6 o’clock, and hours and minutes on the lower half.
This 33mm x 24.95mm 18K white gold timepiece features a bezel and caseband set with 146 brilliant-cut diamonds, a flange set with 66 brilliant-cut diamonds, an attachment paved with a frosting of 61 brilliant-cut diamonds, and frills set with a frosting of 193 brilliant-cut diamonds, 11 baguette diamonds and two cushion-cut sapphires. The crown is also set with a briolette diamond. The mother-of-pearl dial is decorated with a further 20 brilliant-cut diamonds. The dial also features off-centre hours and minutes, and a Breguet medallion at 12 o’clock.
This 18K white gold timepiece is a so-called “secret watch”, with a dial hidden by a floral cameo. It features a bow decoration in 18K white gold paved with 432 brilliant-cut diamonds. The flange of the dial is set with a further 48 brilliant-cut diamonds, while the dial itself is paved with 116 brilliant-cut diamonds. The dial also features hours and minutes, and a mother-of-pearl Breguet medallion at 12 o’clock.
