Ladylike Redux

Tip from James:  Want to look like a lady but skip the lunch?  Spring is full of ladylike clothes that avoid clichés and keep you looking youthful.  Yigal Azrouel channels the vibe perfectly with an Aztec print dress with leather piping and mesh back.  $1,290

Tip from James: More curbside than poolside the city sandal is characterized by a chunkier heel and an urban sensibility.  This ‘must add’ is an easy way to update your dresses and cotton capris.  My favorite is Valentino’s rock stud version in cherry red.  $1,095

Tip from James: The days of designers dictating hemlines are fashion history, so how do you give women something new who are bored with the mini/maxi debate?  Midi length was an important message on many  runways but no one soared higher than Dior’s Raf Simons whose midi was a study in aerodynamics and asymmetry.  $6,600/$1,150
